Open Assign Money

Tap the Ready to Assign bar above the tabs.
2

Fill your envelopes

Assign Money lists the envelopes that need money, including card payments. Type an amount for each, or tap Fund All Needs when you have enough to cover them all.
3

Save

Left to assign shows what’s still free. Tap the checkmark to save.
If you type more than you have, Bow says how much you can add and offers Use Remaining. To undo Fund All Needs, tap All needs funded. Switch between Needs Money and All at the top to see every envelope.

One envelope at a time

Open an envelope from Budget and tap Move Money. When Ready to Assign has money, it starts there. Otherwise it starts with sending this envelope’s money back to Ready to Assign, or, if the envelope is empty, asks which envelope to take money from.

Move money between envelopes

In Move Money, tap From or To to choose any envelope, or tap the arrows to swap the direction. It shows each balance before and after, and only moves money once you’ve chosen where it comes from.

Over budget

If you assign more than you have, Budget shows Over budget. Tap it and choose an envelope to move money back from. The Suggested list shows envelopes likely to have money left this month. If no envelope has money, add income to cover it.

Other months

Use the arrows at the top of Budget, or swipe sideways, to look back or plan up to 12 months ahead. The next month opens once this one has money assigned or money in Ready to Assign. Tap Today at the bottom of the screen to come back to this month.
Past months are view only.
