# Plans, free trial and read-only

> Bow's monthly, annual and Lifetime plans, the free trial, managing your subscription, and what read-only means if you don't have a plan.

Bow has monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase. New subscribers can start with a free trial. Every trial screen shows the date and amount of the first charge, and Bow reminds you before the trial ends.

See current prices on [bowbudget.com](https://bowbudget.com/#pricing).

## Without a plan

Your budget is read-only: a **Read-only** bar takes the place of Ready to Assign. Your records are never locked away. You can still:

* View and search everything
* Export and back up your budget
* Delete your budget
* Restore purchases and redeem codes

Reminders and automatic bank sync pause until you have a plan again.

## Manage your plan

| To | Do this |
| - | - |
| See your plan and when it renews | Tap your budget at the top of Settings. |
| Change or cancel | Tap **Manage Subscription**, shown during a trial or subscription. It opens Apple's subscription settings. |
| Switch to Lifetime | Tap **Get Bow Lifetime**. Cancel your subscription afterward so it doesn't renew. |
| Get your plan on a new iPhone | Tap **Restore Purchases**. It finds a plan bought with your Apple Account. |
| Use an offer code | Tap **Redeem Code**. |

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple through your Apple Account.
