# Siri and Shortcuts

> Log spending, check your envelopes and ask questions about your budget with Siri and Shortcuts, without opening Bow.

Bow works with Siri and the Shortcuts app. Say any of these phrases, or find Bow's actions in Shortcuts.

## Log spending

| Say | What happens |
| - | - |
| “Log an expense in Bow” | Siri saves it right away, with Undo. |
| “Add to Bow” | Describe it in your own words, like “Paycheck from Acme 2,500”. Bow fills it in and records it. Needs Apple Intelligence. |
| “Add a subscription to Bow” | Describe a bill, like “Netflix 15.49 a month on the 3rd”. Bow fills it in and schedules it. Needs Apple Intelligence. |

## Check your budget

| Say | What you get |

| “How much is left in Groceries in Bow” | What's available in an envelope. |
| “What's ready to assign in Bow” | Money not in an envelope yet. |
| “How much did I spend on Dining in Bow” | Spending for an envelope or a period. |
| “What bills are coming up in Bow” | Your upcoming scheduled bills. |
| “What's my Checking balance in Bow” | An account's balance. |
| “Open Groceries in Bow” | Opens that envelope in Bow. |

## Ask Bow

Say “Ask Bow” and ask a question about your budget in your own words, like “Am I overspent anywhere?”. Ask Bow needs Apple Intelligence turned on in Bow's settings.
